Toombs County Family,
We are headed BACK TO THE BENZ!
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, our Toombs County Bulldogs will compete for the GHSA Class A Division 1 State Championship for the 2nd consecutive year. We are extremely proud of our football team for earning this opportunity, and equally proud of our band and cheerleaders who will join them and create lasting memories at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Because more than 150 students and staff must travel to Atlanta and be loaded on buses at designated times for the 2:00 p.m. game, we must adjust our school operations for that day.
The Toombs County School System will be closed on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Regular operations will resume on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
We apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, and we appreciate your flexibility and support. We invite the entire Toombs County community to join us in Atlanta as we cheer on our Bulldogs in their pursuit of a State Championship. Please join me in wishing our football team, band, cheerleaders, and coaches the very best as they represent Toombs County with excellence.
Go Dogs!
Barry Waller, Superintendent

2nd grade reading classes completed a research project on animals to wrap up their expository unit. Students spent time researching an animal, creating a poster using text features they learned about in class, and presented their projects to their class. Way to work hard boys and girls! Keep shining!

BENZ BOUND! 🏈 🐾 🏆 All remaining SPIRIT GEAR will be available on FRIDAY of this week. Get ready to cheer on our defending State Champs at the Benz with the best gear around!

Julio, Claire, Allison, and Emilee earned a trip to the book machine for their hard work in Math.

Don't forget! The deadline to enter the gingerbread contest has been extended to December 9th. We hope this will allow more friends extra time to join in on the fun. Gingerbread houses can be as creative as you want them to be. There is no limit as to what the design has to look like. We've included examples in the photos for inspiration. Please be sure to attach a separate name tag to your gingerbread house and send the contest entry slip and money to your child's teacher.🎄
