TCES is so blessed to have Michelle Rhodes as our school counselor. We say "thank you" this week and every day for all you do for us at TCES.

Second grade students have been studying matter over the past several weeks. This week’s focus is on changes in matter. Students in Mrs. Bateman’s classroom conducted a hands-on investigation by creating a “snow storm” in a jar, combining water, paint, baby oil, and Alka-Seltzer to observe an irreversible chemical change. 🧪❄️

On Friday, 2nd grade celebrated their quarterly achievements. We are very proud of each of you. Onward and upward!

I-Ready prizes were awarded for these students in Mrs. Odom’s class for passing 20 lessons with an 80% or higher. Way to go! Keep working hard boys and girls!

These students from Mrs. Odom’s reading classes won a trip to the book machine!

Mia is the “Spotlight Writer of the Week” in Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Hartley’s class. She wrote an excellent informational essay that deserves to be recognized! Way to go, Mia!!

Due to the weather forecast for this Saturday, the Toombs County Bulldog Baseball Camp scheduled for January 31, 2026 has been canceled.

👉 Good news — we will try again on Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Georgia Milestones are quickly approaching. We would like to invite parents in 3rd -5th grade to come to a GMAS Informational meeting on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Students have received a letter for sig-up for each of our sessions. We will be offering multiple in-person sessions and will be posting a virtual session on social media. If you did not receive a letter, you may sign-up with the google form link below.

Today 4th graders finished their Westward Expansion Unit with a Pioneer Day! Students presented their Google Slides that they have worked so hard on and made butter in a jar!
