Toombs Central Elementary School would like to welcome our new Principal, Mrs. Wendie Sikes! Mrs. Sikes is married to Clint Sikes, and they have one son named Kase. The Sikes family spends a lot of time on the baseball field, because Kase loves to play ball.
Mrs. Sikes is a 2004 Toombs County High School graduate, and she is dedicated to continue making our school and our system successful. She went on to graduate from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, a MAT in Secondary Science, an Ed. S in Teaching and Learning, and an Educational Leadership certificate from the University of West Georgia. Mrs. Sikes began her teaching career in 2008 where she taught science at the Toombs County High School. She taught there until she became the assistant principal at the Toombs County Middle School from 2022-2024.
We are excited to welcome Mrs. Sikes to the Toombs Central Elem. School family.

TCES' Kindergarten and 1st grade Fun Day will now be on Thursday, May 16th!
Rescheduled for MONDAY!
After careful consideration and for the safety of our staff, students, and community we are cancelling school on Friday, May 10th. Our community still has widespread power outages and expects more storms tomorrow. We feel it is simply not safe to have school transportation to be on the roads tomorrow. We will be back to normal school operations on Monday, May 13th.
Stay Safe.
Tonight, TCES' retirees were recognized: Mrs. Lorie Tillman and Mrs. Ginger Harrison. Congratulations also to Mrs. Sandra Floyd on her retirement. Thank you for your years of service and for helping TCES #shine!
Toombs County Schools will delay dismissal to 3 PM to allow buses to get in place. Thank you parents for being patient and understanding of this severe weather delay. Students may be later than normal getting home.
