On December 13, 2023, Toombs Central Elementary School inducted 42 4th and 5th grade students into the Elementary Beta Club. At the start of the ceremony, the crowd gathered was welcomed by Mrs. Rhonda McBride, the Beta Club Advisor. Mrs. McBride further explained the purpose and qualifications for membership of the Beta Club which include maintaining a 90 or above average. The elected officers lit various candles and explained their significance. Students were awarded a membership certificate and card and a lapel pin. The ceremony was closed out by students reciting the Beta Pledge.
