Dear LUES Families,
On April 4th each year, National School Librarian Day recognizes the professionals who keep the school library in working order. School librarians spend long hours keeping the library organized. They are also dedicated to helping our children find the resources they need to keep learning. We are so grateful for Ms. Kim Hamilton, our Media Specialist at LUES for all the wonderful work she does.

Imago Dei Missions provides cost-free clothing and essentials to foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship families. Families are asked to bring a copy of their appropriate paperwork to verify eligibility on their 1st visit. April hours are listed on the attached flyer.

LUES 7 MINDSETS FOR PARENTS: Do encourage vulnerability. That emotional state brings with it a heightened sensitivity and access to moments of greatness and triumph. Vulnerability is invigorating, and every great dream requires a combination of energy and great enthusiasm to persevere through the difficulties and challenges.

LUES 7 Mindset- THE TIME IS NOW- Act with Purpose – While all action is significant, the actions we take that align with our dreams are the most powerful. First, they’re part of who we are and matter to us more, so we try harder and work to overcome more when taking them. Second, these are steps directly toward our dreams, giving them a greater impact on the overall quality of our lives. Ask yourself about the actions you’re taking, “Is this helping to bring me closer to living my dreams?

Families . . . check out these valuable parent guides to help you learn more about the social media platforms that your children are using.

LUES 7 MINDSETS FOR PARENTS: Don’t focus energy or time on fears. Rather, find ways to overcome your own fears so that your children are inspired to do so as well. Fear prevents you from taking the actions necessary for your success. People who succeed in life know that great rewards exist beyond their conquered fears, and they therefore work constantly to overcome them.

The Student Art Show is open at the Altama Museum. Join TCHS on Sat. (03/23) for Kids Art Day from 11AM to 2PM to see the amazing things our students have created! If you can't make it Sat., you can visit the Altama Museum Mon., Thurs., or Fri. from 10AM-1:30PM to see their work.

LUES 7 MINDSETS FOR PARENTS: Don’t let regrets pile up in your life or talk excessively to your children about all the things you wish you had done. It’s important for them to see you taking a proactive stance about doing what you want to do and not regretting things that you haven’t done yet.

LUES 7 MINDSETS END OF THE YEAR PROJECT:
LUES is going to hold a CEREAL BOX CHALLENGE for our end of the year 7MS project to incorporate all 7 Mindsets studied this year. We will be collecting boxes of cereal for those in need in our community. However, before we donate the cereal, we will build a GIANT DOMINO LINE throughout our school with the boxes. The more donations, the longer our domino line will be. The grade that donates the most cereal will earn extra recess. The DOMINO LINE will be MAY 14TH. Start bringing in those donations to your homeroom teacher!
